<p>Proceeds will benefit <a href="http://www.marinemammalcenter.org/">The Marine Mammal Center</a>, located in the Marin Headlands, and its mission of education and conservation. <a href="http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/314740">Tickets are now available here</a>.</p>

SF Gate: &#8220;Kelly McFarling plucks her banjo and sings sweet songs that taste like a chocolate milkshake. Instead of a cherry there are two Ritalin floating on a bed of whipped cream that will transport you to a lake of sound, even if a jack hammer is cracking the cement outside your bedroom window.&#8221;</p>

<p><strong><a href="http://www.manamaddy.com/">Mana Maddy</a></strong><br />
Multi-instrumentalist and songstress Madeline Streicek (&#8220;Mana Maddy&#8221;) was born to an opera singer mother and gold miner father in the bustling Northern BC logging town of Quesnel. She completed an Architecture degree in Sydney Australia and has been an Oakland, CA local since 2006, first as the lead singer of progressive rock band Antioquia, then as backup singer &amp; keyboardist of folk/blues band Whiskerman. She is now out on her own, performing as &#8220;Mana Maddy&#8221; in a solo setting on ukulele, piano and guitar.</p>

Singer-songwriter Rebecca Cross will be premiering an excerpt from a developing work that is synchronized and tuned to the natural percussion and melody found in the wilderness of Northern California. The piece incorporates falling drops of water in a 400,000 year old cave, the call of a western screech owl, coyotes and other musicians native to the area.</p>

<p>The first in a series of benefits produced by <em>Kangaroo Concerts</em>, &#8220;California Wolves Forever&#8221; is a concert to protect wolves and wilderness!  Held At Ashkenaz Music &amp; Dance Community Center in Berkeley, California on May 20 from 7:30pm to midnight, this evening of folk and world music will raise awareness of the need to protect wolves in the Western U.S. and beyond. Tickets are $15 per person, and proceeds will benefit the California Wolf Center&#8217;s mission of education, conservation, and research.</p>
<p>Headlining act <a rel="nofollow" href="http://brass.menazeri.com/" target="_blank">Brass Menažeri</a> is the San Francisco Bay Area’s Balkan Romani (“Gypsy”) powerhouse Brass Band, and Winner of the SF Weekly’s 2008 Music awards in the “Best International Band” category.</p>

<p><a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.ashkenaz.com/" target="_blank">Ashkenaz Music &amp; Dance Community Center</a> is a nationally recognized nonprofit music and culture venue that specializes in presenting live world and roots music.</p>
<p>The <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.californiawolfcenter.org/" target="_blank">California Wolf Center</a> is a non-profit wildlife education center committed to increasing public awareness and understanding of the importance of all wildlife by focusing on the history, biology, behavior, and ecology of the gray wolf (Canis lupus). The California Wolf Center offers engaging educational presentations, participates in conservation programs, and hosts and funds research on both captive and free-ranging wolves.</p>
